St Annes Beef Recipe


  1. In a heat resistant casserole dish, fry the beef in the sunflower oil and butter until brown.
  2. Sprinkle the plain flour over the beef, stir well and fry for a further minute.
  3. Add the hot beef stock, stirring continuously.
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover with a lid and pop in the oven for 4 hours.
  6. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and green vegetables.

Cooking Time: 240 mins
Oven Temperature: 140 degrees C (275F/ gas mark 1)
