It’s that time of year again…. the contractors arrived to harvest our barley. Definitely a race against time to get everything done and baled before the rain set in, but we made it!
The cows now have plenty of extra bedding for winter.
Maize harvest will follow in September, although its already impressively tall. This will be welcome fodder for the cows in the winter.
We are also just about to start lambing again – Geri is having to top the fields first as the grass has grown so much we’re concerned we won’t be able to see the lambs…
